Expert Supply Risk Solutions for global initiatives
An alliance between global audit, certification and supply chain risk management expert Intertek(www.intertek.com) and European software company Trace One (www.traceone.eu), Connected Sources provides web based collaborative platforms & global support solutions for supply chain compliance and certification management to leading brands and initiatives worldwide. Both Intertek and Trace One have already implemented similar solutions with dozens of retailers and their extended network of suppliers and third parties, in the domain of Food Safety, Certification, Social compliance or Customs border security . Deployed solutions not only include software but also and more importantly change management (quick platform setup, user training, dedicated and worldwide customer support, massive legacy data migration).
Some examples of past or current supply chain compliance solution design & deployment are: The Trace One food safety portal, gathering 5 european retailers (Carrefour, number 2 worldwide, Auchan, Casino, Monoprix..) and 1, 200 food suppliers (among them Unilever, Sara Lee, Kraft, Coca Cola, L’Oréal, Danone..) from 14 countries around a web-based collaborative platform to manage 30,000 product specifications, lab results and customer claims while mutualizing software costs. During the deployment process, which started in 2002, Trace One organised the multilingual training of 3, 000 users. The Global Security Verification Program (www.importsecurity.com), gathering 3000 multinationals, foreign manufacturers and partner organizations, to mutualise the costs of supply chain security verification. GSV partners include 40 US retailers . GSV directory will host more than 8, 000 suppliers by the end of 2008.
